2 Days Maasai Mara Safari Itinerary is an authentic Kenya Safari leading you to visit and explore Masai Mara National Park, one Africa’s top destinations, the most worldwide re-known wildlife game reserve for its abundance and variety of wildlife in particular, the big cats and birdlife with over 400 species recorded including 46 species birds of prey.
Also known as ” Masai Mara” and “The Mara” by the local people ), the game reserve is named in honor of the Masai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: “Mara,” which is Maa (Masai language) for “spotted,”. Maasai Mara is famously known for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Tour Itinerary
After your breakfast early in the morning, we start off our first day of the 2 Days Maasai Mara Safari with an interesting scenic drive from Nairobi City towards the Masai Mara. The journey to Masai Mara takes us about 5 hours to arrive at the main gate, following a scenic navigation route through the Great African Rift Valley escarpment and the famous Masai Town, Narok. Spend the first few hours of the day exploring the rolling hills and plains for a chance to spot black-manned lion, elephant, leopard, Cheetah and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. After such an enchanting game experience, now retire at the lodge for a day’s rest in preparation for the second day of the 2 Days Maasai Mara Safari.
Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game Camp or Mara Crossing Camp.
Your second and last day of the 2 Days Maasai Mara Safari starts with breakfast at the hotel after which we embark on an early morning itinerary with our fully-fledged packed lunch for an additional game drive experience in the Masai Mara plains where you can be hopeful to encounter with the wildebeest migration provided it is the migration season (July to September) and other wild animals such as the zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, the big cats, and the bat-eared foxes. Our game drive will proceed until lunchtime (1:0 pm) and we shall retire down to enjoy our packed food before checking out of the park for a journey drive heading towards Nairobi in a 5 hours journey.
You will end your 2 Days Maasai Mara safari with drop off at a preferred hotel in Nairobi for your overnight stay or directly at the airport if you had your flight ticket in the plan already
